Who does love a good natural beauty life hack?!?!

Beauty goes beyond skin deep…

Let’s take a walk through a basic morning routine.  After you wake from your joyous slumber and wipe the dried drool from your face you probably take a shower and use a body wash that you picked up from that BIG box store along with your shampoo, conditioner, shaving gel, lotion, toothpaste, mouth wash, facial cleanser and deodorant.

ALL of these products contain chemical properties that have been proven to cause CANCER and you haven’t even begun to put on any make-up!

FACT: According to an Environmental Working Group (EWG) report, on average teenage girls use 17 personal care products per day, five more than the average adult woman.  The study found 16 chemicals with potentially harmful effects in blood and urine samples of girls, ages 14-19.

Click here to check out this short video that paints a portrait of a basic morning routine, for every one drop of blue food dye placed in this glass it represents 10 chemicals you put in/on your body each morning.  Your everyday, off the shelf products might contain…sodium lauryl sulfate, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, dyes, parabens, triclosan, just to name a few.  You can find these chemicals listed on the back of the products or download the “Think Dirty” app and scan your product.  It will tell you how toxic and “carcinogenic” it is.  (Carcinogenic means cancer-causing).  Yes, I said these toxins are cancer-causing.

If you are not a DIY type of person…no problem!  Young Living has a personal products line that is the best I have ever used!  In Our Oily Home we use a mixture of the Young Living line and our own concoctions; most of which are made using essential oils found in the Premium Starter Kit!
